Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Sanchez, a NC Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA). I offer virtual therapy for teens (ages 12–18) and individual adults (18-seniors) using an eclectic style all founded in client centered care.
Since graduating with a Masters Degree in Social Work from Alabama A&M University, I have worked in various fields of social work as a Bereavement Coordinator, Hospice and Medical Social Worker, Child Welfare Caseworker, and Developmental Disability Employment Specialist. I began my mental health career as a school-based mental health therapist where I worked with children and adolescents and their families to address their mental health needs.
I specialize in grief counseling and the devastating emotions that come along with loss. Whether it’s the loss of a job, home, pet, loved one, or even a marriage, I am here to walk beside you as you transition to the “new normal” that awaits you on the other side.
I work with a wide variety of adolescent needs including ADHD, anxiety, depression, and emotion dysregulation. I am trained and certified in trauma informed care and mindfulness practices with teens which helps me explore challenges, strengths, and vulnerabilities all with a compassionate lens.
My passion is to serve others and help them build the confidence to establish healthy loving relationships with themselves and others. I use various mental health techniques and interventions such as active listening, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Care, Attachment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have advanced training in social isolation and loneliness, neurodiversity, and anxiety disorders. I do my best to create a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and compassionate therapeutic setting.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and pets, spending time in nature, and creating joyful loving experiences.
I hope my introduction resonates with you and I look forward to serving you!
