Trauma

Most people are not without some experience with trauma. The longer we live, the more we experience less-than-perfect environments or relationships. Several of our therapists offer trauma-informed evidence based treatments including Brainspotting, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). We also offer creative art-based modalities to help in the healing process. Mindfulness and mind-body connection are also very useful in the healing process and we have practitioners here who can help those who have experienced trauma heal. We believe that healing is a bottom-up approach and that trauma is stored in the body. (See more here about this idea - Recommended Resources). Our clients will never be shamed or invalidated during their healing process.
